WOMEN'S DEMONSTRATIONS.
THE SUFFRAGE DEMANDED JN AMERICA. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. New York,, May 9. With banners flying, bands playing, and thousands singing, suffragists from every quarter of the United States made a demonstration, every 'American State being represented. A choruß of a thousand women, robed in white, sang "The March of.the Women," composed hy Dr. Ethel Soyth, of England. A great meeting was held in a theatre, and demanded the passage of the Women's Suffrage measure now 'before Congress.
Features of the procession were mounted women, carrying colors, and a large contingent of women representing prosuffrage States.
