NOT A BANKRUPT.
A SATISFACTORY INVESTIGATION.
By Tulegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Monday. In the case against Alfred Trevail Robinson, who was arrested in Sydney and brought to Auckland to answer a charge of having committed a breach of the Bankruptcy Act. the down Prosecutor stated that the accountant employed by the Official after going through bankrupt's books, reported that the charge could not be supported by evidence. As things were when the bankrupt left for Sydney, the Official Assignee was perfectly justified in having him brought back, but when the estate was thoroughly investigated and an explanation obtained from the bankrupt, it was found that the business was not insolvent. It was further ascertained that bankrupt was not the owner of the business, as another person, who had appeared us a creditor, really had a greater interest in the business than Robinson. He asked that the charge'be withdrawn, which the court agreed to.
