MEAT AT HIGH PRICES.
AMERICAN COMPETITION. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright Sydney, April 20. The price of meat has reached rccor-3 high levels. Compared with only a year ago prices show an all-round advance of over a penny per pound. Retailers state that the rise is due to the advent of Americans into the trade in Queensland.
