THEATRE ROYAL PiCTURKS. \ Another change of photo plays, etc., will be screened at the Theatre llojTil tonight, and the programme is expected to prove of gredt interest. The Pathe Co.> who hold a great reputation, for their 2000 ft star dramas, have forwarded their latest in "The Poison Tree," and not only is the photography said to toe taken delightful, but the story itself and acting is most emotional throughout.. This film opens with the financial ruin, of M Leroux, a banker, who iB the father uf three daughters. Renee, one of the daughters, is engaged, uut as soon as her fiancee hears of Leroux's misfortune, he breaks the engagement. The loss of their money compels the family to retire to the country. 'A good foundation is laid for a splendid story, and patrons arc sure to enjoy this pioture gem. A picture explaining "Rice Cultivation" fills the educational requirements of this programme and the twocomedies, "Her face was her fortune," and "Zepherin's Duel," will give the audience as much laughter as they tfequire Popular vrices rule, Is and Cd.

EMPIRE PICTURES. The principal feature in the new programme screened at the Empire Picture Palace last night was a fine A.B. drama entitled, "The House of Discord." It tells of the domestic troubles which arose from ia young wife's resentment at her self-righteous sister-in-law's domination and interference. This puritanical individual devotes her energies, while on a visit to the young couple; towards oir-i dering the house from the chastisement i of the children to the manner of the young wife's dreßS. A dramatic reconciliation takes place through the . medium of a daughter of the unfortunate bride, then grown up and with no Know-' ledge of her mother. A most interesting educational film is "Wine Indtistry at Marsala." The "Topical Budget" contains, among other attractions, ißomestriking pictures of General YjWf. A host of comedies, scenics, and ijra mascomplete an excellent programme.
