DISTRICT NEWS.
KAHOTU. (From Our Own Correspondent). A special meeting of shareholders of the local factory took place on Friday, 24th inst. Seeing the way traps and motor side-ears were sent around for the shareholders to get a quorum, anyone would have thought they were touting for an election, and the candidate anyone hut the farmers. It's a pity the suppliers should leave so much to the ''other fellow." The resolution that the annual meeting be held one month earlier was passed, and it is to be trusted the suppliers will turn up better, to confirm it, in about a month's time.
At the meeting of directors of the Company, Messrs. Green and A. Phillips were appointed to attend the meeting' of dairy companies, to be held at llawera. on Wednesday, 29th. It was decided to start butter making on the Ist of May.
