ACCIDENT AT 'TERRITORIAL CAM!',

At the Matarae military camp yesterday, Trooper Philpott, of Heriot, belonging to the 12th Regiment, fell, from his horse during manoeuvres. He sustained concussion of the brain, and had to be brought to the hospital last night. His condition is serious.
A BODY POUND. Wanganui, Last Night. The body of John Winters, who disappeared from the steamer Putiki a fortnight ago, was found on the river beach at Castlecliff to-day.
A WIDOW'S SiJiCIDJ;
Wanganui, Last Night. Mrs. Iva Greville Smith, a widow, died yesterday, as the result of taking poison. At the inquest to-day a verdict of suicide while temporarily insane was returned.
SUICIDE BiT HANGING
Christehurch, Saturday
Walter Benjamin Harris, aged 35, was found hanging by a rope in a uaek room of his house early this morning, quite dead. .He had been engaged in stocktaking. .Tie was a store-keeper in Colombo street, Sydenham. At the inquest a verdict of suicide while temporarily insane \v:is returned. Harris loaves a widow and two children.
DROWNED AT WAIIII
Waihi, Saturday
The body of George ■ . Murtyn, who was reported missing from his home at Whangamata since Monday night, was picked up on the Teteko beach, near the month of the river, which he is supposed to have attempted to cross in a boat.
KILLED BY A TROCAR. Auckland, Saturday. Edward Deerey, between 40 and 50 years of age, was Knocked down by a tram in Newmarkc-t last night, and died in the hospital this morning.
