THEFT OF LIQUOR.

At the Magistrate'! Court, Arthur Harold Anderson and Archie Doras were cha-ged with the theft of a case of whisky and a quantity of beer from B. T. Taylor, wine and spirit merchant. The theft was eommitteed late at n'ffnt, and the 'accused were noticed oarrylng a sack away, and were arrested. Anderson pleaded guilty and was committed for sentence, but Doran denied hie jailt and was «ommitted for trial.
SUGAR TRUST CASH. ▼•]li»gt«a», Wednesday. The hearing was concluded to-day of the appeal in what is known as the Sugar Trust case, wherein Fairbairn, Wright and Co. elaimed from Leyin and Co. £8,453 by way of damages. Judgment was reieryed.
