ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
GORED BY A BULL. By Telegraph—Press Association. , Carterton, Tuesday. William Jackson Atkinson, aged • 83, was gored by a bull yesterday afternoon. He waß admitted to the South Wairarapa Hospital last night. He was badly gored in the chest and had several ribß broken. The accident happened at three o'clock in the .afternoon, and the sufferer was not found till dark.
A SETTLER SUICIDES. Auckland, Tuesday. : John Morgan, a well-known settler at Oparau, near Kawhia, waa missing, and on Saturday his body was found by a search party. Evidence at the inquest disclosed that Morgan was despondent owing to the effects of an operation and insomnia. The verdict was suicide while his mind was temporarily unhinged.
MOTOR-CAR FATALITY. Invcreargill, Tuesday. George Dcvereaux, a single man, who was knocked down by a motor containing a party of race-goers>, driven by Ernest Challs, near Riverton Hospital, on Easter Monday, died last night.
