FASHION'S VAGARIES.
GONE IS THE SKIN-TIGHT GARMENT
PADS, CRINOLINES AND BUSTLES.
Times and Sydney Sun Services. Paris, April 20. The silhouette of Parisiennes has changed with miraculous suddenness. It is difficult to believe that women could be so instantaneously changed from being haggard and bony to rosy-cheeked and round of limb, capable of good digestion ■ and walking with springy tread. The Parisienne does not wear feathers, but is crowned with gorgeous flowers. Superseding anaemic emaciation, the fashions now display busts, hips, and full, round cheeks. Flowing robes are replacing the tight skirt. Possibly there will be some protests against the crinoline, false hips, cushioned shoulders, solid bustles and unhygienic trailing skirt.
