CAPTURE OF JEWEL THIEVES.
A WELL-LAID PLAN. Bjr Telegraph—Press Association. Reecived 19, 5.5 p.m. Paris, April 18. Suspects were seen following' a jewellers' representative, whose cart sometimes contained £40,000 worth of jewels. Tie capture of the gang was pre-arrang-ed. The cart was momentarily abandoned at a place in Vendome. A man rushed out, forced the lock, and stole £16,000 worth. He was arrested, and proved to be Count Montgelas, a native of Berlia, "wanted" for thefts in England, Spain and Italy. Five companions, iacluding Jordan Nation, of Johainesburg, and also the Countess; were arrested.
