McCluggage. j ,f HARBORMASTER'S REPORT. i- The harbormaster (Captain Waller) reported that during the four weeks ende ing April 11, 21 steamships aggregating ' " 22,046 tons, arrived at the port, and 23 j a steamships, aggregating 2-1,431) tons, '] j cleared from it. The imports amounted l to 6470 tons, 2408 tons of which was ; ;] coal (1528 tons for private use and 940 I " tons for the Railway Department). The I J exports amounted to IGSI tons, 'making ' s ! a total of 8151 tons handled. The har- I 6 ;bor had been sounded on April 15 and i t; plans of the sounding were enclosed.' ej REPORT ON WORKS, gl The superintendent of works (Mr. F. Henderson) reported that the Paritutu t dredged on 19 days (net time 215 Vi i- hours) and removed from the 33ft cut with the buckets 24 loads, equal to 9600 'tons, and from the fairway with the sand-pump 29 loads, equal to 11,000 tone; total, 53 loads, or 21,200 tuns.
