PRIMA DONNA AVERTS A EIRE PANIC. By Cable —Press Association —Copyright New York, April 14. Madame Tetrazzini, the famous singer, averted a panic when a fire started in a picture-theatre at Canton, Ohio. By singing for five minutes she stopped the rush of ,maddened people and saved probably a score of lives. The curtains were ablazo when the singer started, and although there was every appearance that the house would be destroyed the people were so astonished at Tetrazzini's wonderful nerve that they resumed their scats. The attendants .successfully extinguished the fire.
