CONi'EKKNCE AT WELLINGTON. Br Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington. April 11. A conference of New Zealand District Xos. S4 and Sii of the Order of Kcehabitcs opened here to-day. Bro. A. .J-'n-kin (Auckland) was in the chair. Bro. W. .T. Gatidin, Wellington rcpreseiiHt'.vc at last year's conference at Home, stated that the idea was occasionally to have the high movable conference he'd in the Dominion, or that deputations be. sent to conferences in the United Kingdom.
After a motion was passed to the effect that in view of the distance separating New Zealand from the Motherland direct representation would five inadequate returns; that the conference was of opinion that a delegation from the Home office to travel at intervals of not less than five years to various overseas districts would achieve far hotter results than if one delegate from New Zealand were to attend a conference such a distance,
