VISITS NEW PLYMOUTJi. Xcw Plymoath lias had a visit front a, Ikuhl of considerate merit in the Wanganui Salvation Army Jimwl. Those who did not hear it missed some- ' thing worl.i hearing in the wav of band music. The smart appearance. of tlie bandsmen, and their excellent, marching attracted considerable attention. The "band s fir.st appearance was on Saturday evening, when it imvivlu'd through xlie streets some twenty-live strong. Despite, the counter attraction of the. Carnival Queen excitement, it attracted considerable interest and much favourable comment. On Sunday afternoon tnere was a good attendance at. Kawarou Park, where the band played from the liotmula. i .ie programme provided ample scopw for a display of Hie band's powers, nenis which were especially appreciated were beautiful interpretations of "Abide with me" and "Lead, Kindly Light." There was also some excellent general selections. On Sunday evening -there was an enjoyable concert in the (.00(1 Templar Hall, at which t/he band was again heard to advantage in some fine .-acred items.
