KATAPIKO (From Oar Own Correspondent.) Old and young are looking eagerly forward to the 17th, wlien the children's fancy dress ball will be held. Judging by the enthusiasm displayed, the entertainment should totally eclipse all others previously held. Messrs Lawrence and Paul are making good headway carting boulders for the Mana, and Kupara roads respectively. Two more of our enterprising settlers 1 have purchased motor cars, and 1 believe others intend to follow their example. liatapiko school is sti'il adding fame to its list of successes, .At the Inglewood show it succeeded in annexing a slum- of the prizes. The result must be very pleasing to the hard working teachers.. We are again to have a change of creamery manager, our manager (Mr. Bartlett) having decided to leave the district.
