SEIIIOI'S KXCUOACIIIIENT OF THE SEA. 1 By Telegraph—l'rcas Association. Hokitika, Wednesday. An inspection of tile sea-front at Hokitika to-day discloses a very serious position as'the result of last night's gale and heavy sea. From fifty to one hundred feet of the bank has been carried awav, together with buildings and fences. The damage amounts to a considerable sum. Other damage by the gale includes the uprooling of a portion of the liacing Club's main grandstand, while fences and trees suffered to a great extent.
