These items, with tile advertising and mileage fees from Karori-and Miramar boroughs, made llie total revenue £100,347, an increase of £BSOB. Working expenses inereased. from C 101,12!) to £10,1.100, and, with interest, sinking fund, depredation, etc., the total cost of operation was £144,917, as compared with £ 139,03(5 in the previous ear. The net surplus for the year was £1.>,4,50, against £11,903 in the previous year, hut the special expenditure on alteiatious to cars absorbed a large sum leaving an actual net credit balance of £389.
