JEWEL ROBBERY. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Yesterday. -Arthur Hamilton, an American, was arrested on Saturday on a charge of stealing jewellery, valued at £172, from Peter Swanberg, a second-hand dealer in Upper Queen Street. Tho burglary was committed on October 12 or 13, when the safe was blown open and the jewellery! and £9 10s in cash stolen. Seveial burglaries have been committed in th>i city lately, and a quantity of stolen property, including some of Swannery's jewellery, has been recovered by detectives. WELLINGTON CITY LEASES.
