PUKEKURA PARK BOARD.
MONTHLY .MEETING. At the monthly meeting of the I?ukekura Park Board last night there were present:—Messrs. Vt. L. Newman, ('. V. Govett, R. Cock, H. Ford, F. V. Corkill, and R. C. Hughes. Apologies were received from Messrs. Ambury. t'oilis, and Browne. CURATOR'S REPORT. The curator (Mr W. W. Smith) reported that the recent high winds bad given him a considerable amount of extra work, but no duniage had been done to the Park. He proposed shortly to start planting native trees and shrubs extensively, for which purpose he would be glad to receive donations of plants and seeds from country friends who are in the position to send them. He also stated that the 'present is an exceptionally fruitful year for most snecics of native plants, which is an inducement for him to ask for them. GENERAL. The Chairman reported that Park Saturday collecting would take place ( ~i April 25. . Air Coek was appointed visitor for the month.
