STRONG COMMENT UV THE JUDGE. GIRL SENT TO A HOME. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Monday. The Chief Justioe. gave, judgnmet today in the ease Dell v. Dell,' in which the mother of Alice Lee applied for a writ of habeas corpus to obtain the custody of the girl, aged 17, who, it was alleged, was living in immoral relationship with her stepfather. Counsel for the girl contended that as she was over Hi she could go where she liked and do what she liked.' His Honor said the Court, would not be doing its duty were it not to interfere to save the girl against herself, and the most disgraceful conduct of her stepfather.
An order was made for the girl to go into the Salvation Army Home in the meantime.
