After a trial lasting live days, a young married man, named Hugh Seally, w.is acquitted at the Supreme Court on a charge of tuning attempted to commit rape. The accused was discharged. The jurv passed a resolution thanking Judge' ITosking for his courteous treatment pf ll,(! jand expressed their appreciation of the manner in which lie had summarised the evidence.
