As Rifleman S. Hartnell is an honorary member, being lieutenant in the Territorials, he is not eligible to take the cup, and Depnt.-Pres. W. Oliver, who is second with 435 points, therefore gains possession of the handsome trophy. A trophy shoot under Service conditions, open to all members of A Company, XI. Regiment, will take place at 2 p.m. on Saturday next, 4th inst., on the Rewa Rewa rifle range. All members of A Company are eligible to compete, and no entrance feo will be charged. Ammunition supplied as usual on the range. KAPONGA v. INGLEWOOD. At Kaponga on Thursday, Inglewood were defeated by Kaponga for the champion shield by eight points. Owing to a member of the Inglewood team failing to turn up, the lowest score had to be repeated. President Guy, of Kaponaa. put up the fine score of 101, including a possible at (iOflyds.
