Sir Joseph and Lady Ward were tendered a civic reception on their return to the city from Motueka this afternoon, when the Leader of the Opposition was welcomed to the city by ji very large gathering. This evening' Sir Joseph delivered a political address at Wakefield, ""here he Bpoke to a large and enthusiastic audience. A motion of thanks and conlidence was passed.
