The Hand Carnival was brought to a conclusion last night, after a nmrviil-lously-,successful nine days' run, which probably ranks a., a record for the New Plymouth Theatre Koval. She was recalled for be* singing of "Mother Cacive," and gave as an encore, "I Wonder if Ever tin Rose," and in response to another enthusiastic recall repeated the last verse. The encores made the nrogramme extend until after 11 iuu., but even then the audience was loth to go. The ''Swing Song," with miss Alison Hlair as soloist, was quite a feature. Afterwards the theatre was cleared, and the performer., -.ncnt a pleasant hour or two in dancing.
