A DEADLOCK ENDED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Saturday. The deadlock which occurred between the Public Service Commissioners and tile Post and Telegraph Association reached a solution to-day through the mediation of Mr, Morris, secretary of the Post Office Association, who substituted for the preamble to which the commissioners took exception one to the effect that the conference of post and telegraph ollicers, after comparing the classification lists, is unable to reconcile apparent differences in salaries, and, being of opinion that responsibility is as high and the. duties as Arduous in their service a.s in others submits to the commissioners the urgent necessity for giving the matter further consideration.

This was accepted by the commissioners, and it was arranged that the committee should meet the commissioners again on Monday and go through the remits of. the conference which Diave been held up since the deadlock occur-
