EMPIRE THEATRE. x '"SCROOGE." To-night, at the Empire Tlieatre, patrons will b e introduced through thte medium of the cinema to the famous EnsIwh actor. The film is 3000 ft long, of line quality, anit the acting is described as superb. Other motion pictures selected to support "Scrooge" are "A Window on Washington Park" (Vitagraph drama), "Construction, of a Locomotive" (industrial), "Wellington Athletic Sports" (topical), "Gauroont Graphic," "Sauce for the Goose" (comedy), and "New Zealand Animated ' News." The Empire orchestra will-eon-tribute overtures und incidental jnmie to all screenings. Box plans are now open at Hoffmann's.
