MR. LLOYD-GEORGE ON LAND-TAX. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright London, March 10. Sir J. S. Randies' motion, censuring Mr. Lloyu George for unfounded attacks on individuals, particularly his references to the Dukes of Sutherland and Montrose in his speech at Glasgow on the land question, was defeated by 304 to 240. THE UNEARNED INCREMENT. PUBLIC CONSCIENCE AROUSED. Received 12, 12.10 a.m. London, March 11 In the House of Commons, Mr Lloyd George, replying to Sir John Randies' motion, justified his attacks on landowners, saying they were illustrations of landowners receiving great values created by local enterprise without contributing anything. He quoted several of Mr Joseph Chamberlain's speeches, and showed that the Conservative papers had attacked Mr Chamberlain similarly. He congratulated himself that his land campaign had roused the public conscience.
