Vititgrapli dramas arc always popular with, devotees of the film shaw, and for this, reason the new programme at the Thsatrc Royal should attract large audiences. as the principal feat ure is a drama by that company, entitW "The Call." which is realistic and exciting. It features Mr E. K. Lincoln and Miss .Edith Story, which is a guarantee of good acting. The plot is novel, and contains plenty of dramatic incident. "The Doctor's T)utv" is aii Edison drama of novel conception, aiut is forcibly hand!*). It is a picture which appeals to nil students of human nature, and is sullicieiii Iy exciting to hold tho attention throughout. Comedy is l>y no means neglected. "A Deal in Oil" (which has no connection with Moturoa), and "Tommv's First Love Affair" (which did not run smoothly), are calculated to make a dyspeptic laugh. Tn addition, there are several high-class scenic pictures, and an interesting instalment of tlia New Zealand Animated Gazette.. This programme will -bo screened tonight and to-morrow night only.
