SCHOOL COMMITTEES.
MEETING OK TCIE ASSOCIATION. At a meeting of the Taranaki School Committees' Association last night, Sir. 9. tr. Smith presiding, delegates we.v present from the Central, Fitzroy, Mi'igoiei', West End, Iluiforil. and Friinklev committees. Tt wan decided to ask householders' tttectiugs to pass a resolution favoring extension of the present Taranaki Education District, so as to take in the whole of the Taranaki provincial districts. It viis decided to hold a conferenee 'if school committees in the Borough Council Chambers, New Plymouth, din-in™ Winter Show week. The order paper was referred to the Executive, to requmt committee* to send in remits to the conference, to be in by May 10. Consideration of the new syllabus was referred to the Executive, and the Education Board will be asked to send- n copy of it to every school committer The Executive was instructed to endeavor to institute branches of tha, Association in, all part 3 of Taranaki;
