Sena I or's Sim's Bill repealing the Panama tolls has been reported favorably to the House by the Commerce Committee, the voting 1 being seventeen to four. The measure is likely to be before the House on Thursday. The more moderate section of the American press supports President Wilson's attitude, and some newspapers hope that Britain will now participate in the San Francisco's World's Fair. THE PANAMA EXPOSITION. WILL lIIUTAIN RESPOND? London, March 0. Newspapers of various parties are supporting the Panama Exhibition memorial signed by members of Parliament. Several urge Britain's obligation to respond to the spirit shown by President Wilson regarding the tolls and consider the present moment opportune to reconsider the decision. PRICKING THE CARD.
