Doctor Lydston announced at a meeting of the Chicago Medical Association that he had successfully transplanted the generative gland from a dead person to tin: body of a living man. It transpires that when unable to find a subject willing to undergo the operation, he performed it on himself. He also implanted in a woman the generative organs of another woman 12 hours after death, the wound healing rapidlv with every indication of success.
