He accompanied the lady to San Francisco and intende'd following her to Sydney, not knowing that she intended to forsake him. He was apprised by wireless and followed by the next steamer to Honolulu. He waited at the hotel until Mrs. Stuart, previously known as Mrs. Phypers, entered with two ladies, and after a short altercation shot her and himself. The murdered woman left considerable property, which she had willed to a four-year-old daughter. Her former husband is residing in Sydney, and will take steps to secure the custody of the child.
