DENOUNCES WOMEN'S AFTERNOON GATHERINGS. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright Montreal, March 6. Bishop Farthing denounced women's afternoon gatherings, at which, he said, women danced and dressed shamelessly. Young girls of humbler classes found the worst examples amongst those in the higher strata of society. Some girls', ill alturdiiig it, spent more on clothes than a clergyman's whole salary.
