Templeton just failed to catch McKenzie, who won by inches only. Time, 15 l-ssec. Pole vault—Harvey (Masterton) 10ft Sin, 1; Templeton, scr., lift lin., 2. High Jump Handicap—Stratford (Maaawatu), Din, sft 10% in, 1; A: Ordish (Masterton), (Jin., sft 10y 2 in, 2. In the country club championship, the shield was won easily by the Masterton Chit), Manawatu being the only other club represented. . R. Messenger won the 100, 200, 440 and 880 yards championships; R. McKenzie won the broad jump and putting the allot; ,T. Bradbury won the 880 yds; L. Preston won the mile; Harvey won the pole vault; Stagpoolc (Manawatu) won the 120 yds hurdles and hop, step and jump. , Special gold medals were presented to the four visiting Americans in recognition of their sterling performances. The party left by the evening train for Palmerston North, en route to Hamilton, for the final meeting.
