LEADS TO TROUBLE. By Telegraph—Press Association. Dannovirke, Last Night. James Mills, a laborer, was charged before tin- magistrate with assaulting his wife with intent to do actual bodily harm. On October 18 last 1 accused went home intoxicated. His wife then went and brought his Sunday beer, but refused to allow accused a drink. Resenting this, he pushed his wife, and she fell and broke a leg. She then crawled into the yard to get out of accused's way. and returned to the house, .when her husband had gone to bed, and sat in the kitchen until he woke and lifted her into bed, where she remained until Tuesday, when she was removed to the hospital.' The wife may never recover from the ejects of the injury. Accused pleaded guilty and was committed io the Supreme Court for sentence.
