A MISTAKEN* IDEA. By Telegraph—Proas Association. Dunediu, Last Night. The adjourned inquest on the body of Mrs Doocey, who died somewhat suddenly on Saturday evening, was continued to-day. It was supposed that death was due to a fall sustained as the result of deceased being bumped by n drunken man in the strcot about midday on Saturday. Kathleen Doocey, aged 12 vears, sdid she was walking ahead of her mother. Passing the Grand Hotel, she saw a man swaying in his walk, and immediately afterwards she heard a fall. On turning round she saw her mother on the ground, and she thought the man must have bumped her. Soon afterwards her mother took ill. Alexander Gunn, commercial traveller, who saw deceased fall, said she seemed to catch her head on a fjrating and fall on her side. Witness saw no drunken man. Similar evidence was given by Edward Lcvido. Dr. Eoberts, lion, pathologist at the hospital, said he made a post-mortem examination. There were, no external marks.
