''Everything comes to those who wait," is an old saying, and after waiting for several years, the residents of Dunedin had 011 Saturday an opportunity of seeing an aeroplane in actual flight. The youthful New Zealander, Mr. .1. 11. Scotland, Was timed to lift his Caudron biplane from Taliuna Park at half-past three. At an earlier hour than this tlio fitful wind had given him some misgivings as to the possibility of his machine, being able to make the ascent. After waiting for a couple of hours the wind fell, and Scotland decided to ascend. The aviator had the machine under beautiful control, and circled three times round the park, lie then made a wider sweep, flying over the Musselburgh district. Hundreds of people craned their necks as the aviator flew overhead. Mr, Scotland gave an even better exhibition next morning'. His Caudron got a nice take-oil' and was seen heading across the top of the harbor -towards Mornington. He returned under easv control across South Dunedin.
