The lads are between •the ayes of 10 and '2O years, and they were selected in England from a list of »)011 ai)]ilieants by officials of the New Zealand Immigration Department. Thev have come to New Zealand in charge of Scrg't. Thomson, of the -Ith Hussars. The youths are a fine-looking lot, and ■as they have all had farming experience tliey are expected to prove desirable additions to the country's population. They were met by Government ollicials this morning and will he given instructions regarding their future destinations in various parts of "the Dominion.
