Mr. Estell approached the iron trade employers in an endeavor to bring about a conference, but the masters decided they would only consider the suggestion if the men resumed work. Mr. Estell promised a deputation from the Bakers' Union that he would introdue a Bill providing for universal day baking in the July session.
