FIRES.

TWO HOUSES BURNED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Yesterday. Between live and six this morning a fire broke out in the wash-house connected with a dwelling-house at Kiiandallali, owned, and occupied by Murray Thompson. The flames spread to the residence, which was soon destroyed. The adjoining house of eight rooms, owned by (.'live Sonmierville and occupied by W. K. (.'uthbci'tson, afterwards took lire and was soon reduced to ashes. There was 110 water supply, and a still' nor'-wester was blowing. Some of the furniture from both houses was saved, 'flie insurances are not available.
