METHODIST CONFERENCE.
SETTING UP OP COMMITTEES, By Telegraph—Press Association. Dunedin, Last Night. Tin; Methodist Conference resumed this morning. Several notices of motion were tabled. A large amount of correspondence was received, including communications from Lord Liverpool and Bishop Neville, and also from the Methodist Conferences of Great Britain iinil Australia. The ciißtomarv committees were Bet up, and special committees to consider the Home Missions Supernumerary Fund and the revision of the Book of Laws. The following laymen were appointed from their respective districts to act with an equal number of ministers 011 the Standing Committee:—Auckland, Messrs. T. Hodgson and J. Veale; South Auckland, Mr fi. Deiincn; Taranaki and Wanganui, Messrs 8. Bennett, and T. I', ITughson; Hawke's Bay and Manawatu, Messrs. W. G. Pearce and A. Fejinefl; Wellington, Messrs. 11. T. IT. Crave, F. Peim, and the Hon. I . M. Luke; Nelson, Messrs \Y. I). Pike and E. IT. Penney; North Canterbury, Messrs. W. Dobbs and J. 11. Blackwell; South Canterbury, Messrs. W. T. Irwin ami 15. Grayburn; Otago, Messrs. \V. King and E. Rosovear; Southland. Messrs. J. J. Wcstev and A. S. Froggatt. All the members of the committee met during the afternoon. The Stationary Committee will not meet until the committees 011 "circuits" and "home missions" have reported their findings 011 nircuit adjustments and ministerial stating to Conference.
