BETTING AT SPORTS.
MOVEMENT TO LEGAMSE IT. By Cahle—Press Association—Copyright Received 24, 9.40 p.m. Sydney, February 24. A movement is afoot to secure an amendment to the Gaming Act by legalising betting at athletic, swimming, and cycling events. A meeting of the League of Swimmers unanimously rejected a motion favoring a deputation to the Minister in support of the movement.
