A Bomb Outrage
PARCEL *EXT TO BISHOP. BLOWS UP HOUSE. By Cable—Press Association —Copyright Budapest. February 23. A parcel addressed to Bishop Miklossy, ostensibly containing gifts for the church, concealed a dynamite bomb which exploded when the parcel was opened. Bishop Miklossy's vicar and three others were killed and seven persons Injured. Bishop Miklossy had a marvellous escape. The vicar's daughher l>ecame insane on hearing of her father's death. A letter signed "Anna Jfovacs," notifying the dispatch of the panel, has heen found. The motive of the crime is unknown.
SEVEN PERSONS DEAD. THE WHOLE HOUSE FALLS. Received 24, 11.3 p.m. Buda Pest, February 23. Seven of the victims are dead. The Bishop of Miklossy was lying sick in his bedroom. The walls were -blown in, but he was not hurt. The whole house fell later, and four persons were severely injured. The vicar's daughter was suddenly confronted with her father's mutilated body. The outrage is attributed to the objection to the establishment of a Greek bishopric.
