Butter—The market 'is steady with improved demand for New Zealand. The Danish market is lirmcr, at 121s to 184s. New' Zealand 114s to lids. The Australian market is quiet tot steady at 110s to 112s. The Argentine and Siberian markets are steady at 110s to 112s. Cheese—The market is steady, and prices well maintained, with fair demand for New Zealand. A small shipment of Australian cheese at Liverpool sold very freely at u'4s to fills. The Canadian market is quiet, but firm; white Oils to 71s, colored 70s to 725. New Zealand white fi3s Gd to ti4s Od., colored -Otis to GOs Oil.

Hemp.—The -Manila market remains very depressed. Prices have declined, and consumers arc holding off. Spot hemp is neglected. The average price for fair current in near positions is £27 ss, in Jlistant positions £27 10s. The output from Manila for the week was 21,000 bales. Fair, £23. These quotations are nominal. February to April shipments, good fair £25 15s. fair £23 ss. Sisal—The market is steady at previous quotations.
