KILLED 11Y A TIiAMCAR. By Telegraph—l'rcas Association. Wellington, Saturday. At the inquest 011 Frank Hfcctor Qhristie, of Wangainii, who died as the result of injuries received by being knocked down by a tramcar, the Coroner said the evidence showed that deceased was a man about (il) years of, age and was temperate and in possession of sight and hearing. It seemed extraordinary that such an accident should have happened, because the night was fairly calm and the street well lit. He could not say any bhuuc was to be attached to the motorman. A verdict was returned that deceased died from injuries caused by being knocked down by a tramcar.

At an impiest this morning into the death of Alexander Campbell, a small farmer and contractor, of Linton, the verdict was that death was due to phosphorus poisoning, self-administered, whilst temporarily (insane.
