MASTER-TON A. AND P. SHOW. By Telegraph—Press Association. Masterton, Last Night. There was delightful weathor for People's Day of the Masterton A. and P. Show. About w,OOO persons were present, and great interest was manifested. ,r champion jumping competition was won by Mr H. Hassall'e Micky Free, with Mr J. W. McNiven'fl Pickpocket second and Mr Erne3t Short's Scout third. The consolation jump went to Pickpocket. The prize for the best hack on the ground was awarded to Mr Krnest Short's Scout. ODDFELLOWSHIP. Pahintua, Last Night. The consolidation of the sick funds, a matU>r of considerable importance to friendly societies, was discussed at the Oddfellows' Conference for Wellington district to-day. Bro. D. P. Loasby, of Creytown Lodge, moved: "That the time has arrived when all sick funds of the lodges should be consolidated." The motion was defeated by a big majority. Ilro. Guy (Britannia Lodge, Wellington) was elected Grand Master for the ensuing year.
