ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
MAN SERIOUSLY INJURED. v '.y Telegraph.—Press Association. Wanganui, Last Night, A married man, named Claude Woodcock, of Mosstown, had his chest seriously crushed while working in the freezing chamber at Castlecliff to-day. He was removed to the hospital. SUPPOSED SUICIDE. Blenheim, Last Xijjht. Charles Turner, a farmer, aged 45 to 50, committed suicide by hanging this morning at Canvastown. He had just taken over a farm at the Sounds. The reason for the rash act is unknown. SUPPOSED SUICIDE. Auckland, Last Night. A middle-aged Maori, named Toko YVirihanc, whose wife is away from home, was found dead in bed in Cross Street by a laborer named John Perry, at 7.1") a.m. to-day. Toko was lying in a double bed with the blankets soaked ill blood, while a blood-stained razor was found near the body. The jugular vein had been severed, and there were two short, deep wounds in the neck. Last night Toko seemed calm and collected, and gav« no intimation that he contemplated taking his life.
