MASTERTON SHOW.
By Telegraph—Press Association. Masterton, Last Night. The twenty-seventh annual slvow of the Masterton A. and P. Association opened to-day in beautiful weather and with a large attendance of the public. The show of fat stock is one of the best ever made in the Dominion. Championships were won as follows: Lincoln ram and ewe, Wm. Perrys Bomaey ram, Gray Bros.; Romney ewe, G. E. Allcir. Southdown ram, Jas. Knight (Feilding); English Lcicesters,-S. R. Lancaster (Palmcrston North); Border Lcicesters, J. Dowthw<e; Shropshire ram and ewe, W. D. Vavasour (Marlborough) ; Shorthorn bull, Sir Walter Buchanan; Hereford bull, D. McKenzie; Jersey bull, E. Eagle, jun., (Carterton); Holstein bull and cow, W. I. Lovelock; Ayrshire bull, Wilton Bros.; Ayrshire cow, C. and S. Morgan. In dairy produce, Tamaki Dairy Company was awarded first for butter for export, and the Mauvicevillo Dairy Company first for butter for local consumption. Matamau (Hawke's Bay) took first and second for cheese.
