A friendly match between the FiUroy and West End Bowling Chilis was commenced on the Fi-tzroy green on Saturday, but heavy rain intervened, and although the green was rolled again when the rain had ceased it was found impossible to resume "lay, and the match was left unfinished. The Piliama Bowling Club met Opunake in a match fur the Fov Shield at Opunake on Wcedm-sday. and the result was a win for the visitors by 11 points.
