CANTERBURY VETERANS} v. OTAGO. WIN FOR OTAGO. By Telegraph—Press Association. Dunedin, Last Night. The veterans' cricket match, Canterbury v. Otago, was played to-day i» line weather and on a good wicket. In the first innings the visitors made 115 runs—Lawrence 39. Fisher took foul' wickets for 46 runs, McFarlane ' liree for 32, and Johnstone one for 3. Otago made 141 in the first innings— Williams 34, Beck 27, Carr 17, McFarlane 13, and Cronford 12. Boxshall took four wickets for <J3 runs, Robson two for 0, Lynch one for 1, Reese two for 12, and Gunthorpe one for 35. Canterbury declared their second innings closed with five wickets down for 163 Lawrence 03 not out, Reese 46, Atkinson 36 not out. Johnstone secured three wickets" for 49 runs, Williams one for 18, Fisher one for 53. In the second innings Otago made 14G for one wicket—Baker 103 not out, McFarlane 19 not out. Lawrence took one wicket for 26 runs. Otago thus won by nine wickets.
